Other Expectations

  • For safety reasons, skateboards, roller blades, scooters, and laser pointers are not permitted on school property.
  • Electronic devices such as iPods, cell phones, gaming systems, and similar items are the responsibility of the owner.  The school can not be responsible for lost or damaged items.  If theft is suspected, parents must report this to the police directly.  These items are NOT to be seen, used, or heard from at any time inside the school.  Many of these items can be disruptive to the learning environment and can even cause security concerns.  If students do not comply with the school's guidelines for the use of electronic devices, then the device(s) will be taken from the student and stored in the main office until a parent can come and pick them up.
  • Computers must be used according to the Safe and Acceptable Use policy of the Durham District School Board.  Any students who misuse school computers will have their computer priviledges removed and may be assigned additional consequences as necessary.
  • Please consult the student agenda for more details about expectations and consequences related to student conduct at school.  The administration team at Glen Street are also available to further clarify behavioural expectations that exist at school.
