Last month we talked about being kind with our words and our actions at school, at home and in the community. This month we will be focussing on INTEGRITY; how we act when no one is watching us.

We are now going through the process of having each student do a Running Record (reading a specific book to determine his or her reading level). I have noticed that the students who have been participating in the Home Reading Programme and reading each night have gone up two or three levels. Reading is very important to expand vocabulary and to use the reading strategies that we have talked about in the classroom. Try to read each day during the March Break which begins on March 9th and continues through to March 16th. School will resume on Monday, March 19th.

Please have your son or daughter arrive at school on time so he or she can participate in all learning activities. Having a good sleep and a good breakfast is also essential for them to be able to concentrate and think about all the different topics that may arise.

Have a safe and restful March Break.
